Game Rules
Our ambition is to create the most realistic fantasy football manager game, where your team is assessed using a detailed rating model that considers over 100 real-life in-game actions. So it's not just goals and assists that determine a player's score, but a wide range of performance metrics that reward those who genuinely play well.
Squad & Transfers
To have a valid squad, your squad must consist of 18 players.
You start with a budget of 145 Mio.
You may have a maximum of 4 players from the same real-life team.
You can buy and sell players between rounds— from the moment the last match of Round A finishes until the first match of Round B begins.
The platform clearly indicates whether the game week is active (transfers disabled) or between rounds (transfers allowed).
Transfer windows & Transfer Fees
Outside of transfer windows, a 5% fee is applied when selling a player. During transfer windows, the fee is only 2%.
Note: for new user joining, they will be able to trade without any transfer fee until they have participated in the first game round
- The Summer Transfer Window opens in July and closes on 15 August.
- The Winter Transfer Window runs from 1 to 31 January.
Starting Lineup
For each game week, you must select a starting lineup of 11 players and choose one captain.
You can choose your formation among the typical formations. The following formations are allowed:
- 3-4-3
- 3-5-2
- 4-3-3
- 4-4-2
- 4-5-1
- 5-4-1
- 5-3-2
You may change your lineup or formation between rounds.
Important: It is your responsibility to ensure you have 18 players in the squad, 11 players in the lineup, and a selected captain.
Player Ratings and Team Ratings
Each player receives a rating from 1 to 10 based on over 100 in-game data points.
Players who don't appear in a match will receive a rating of 0.
Your team receives a team rating from 0 to 10, calculated as the average of your 10 outfield players + goalkeeper + the captain's rating (counted twice).
The higher the rating, the better you performed that round.
Byes & Multiple Games in a Round
The game is structured in rounds, where each real-life team typically plays one match.
Postponed or rescheduled matches can result in a team playing zero or two matches in a round.
If a player plays two matches in a round, only their best match score counts.
If they only play one of the two, that score is used.
Divisions
Upon joining, you are placed in a division. New players are added to the lowest available division.
Each season consists of four splits with each split typically lasting 8-10 games.
In your division, you play head-to-head against other teams.
- Win = 3 points
- Draw (same average rating rounded to 1 decimal) = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
Between two and four teams are promoted and relegated per division, depending on the tier level. All promotions and relegations are automatic — there are no playoffs.
Rankings are based on:
1) Total points
2) Average team rating (used for tiebreakers)
Private Leagues
You can create custom leagues and invite friends to compete.
Scoring is head-to-head as in the main division system.
Club Transfers
If a player transfers to a new club in real life, this change is reflected in the game.
- If the new club is outside the league, the player can no longer earn points.
- The same applies if their team is relegated from the Premier League.
You are, of course, free to sell such players.
Club Ownership
Each person may only own one team. Multi-club ownership is strictly forbidden on TransferTarget.
